This week's Creative Tuesdays' theme is 'Lazy days of summer.'  I decide to focus on summer and summer means vacations. Here is a couch traveler taking a vacation. She travels through books and her imagination. And what great place to start than the Statue of Liberty?

    1. thank you. actually I almost didn't do this as I could not think of anything so it's a very last minute idea which strangely enough, I finished faster than I had expected.

thanks for stopping by, have a lovely day.

  2. Well dear ~ you just transported me to NYC. I love the softness of the Statue of Liberty in all her beauty, and then that darling little book worm traveling in her pajamas and wearing her Liberty crown. This is just extraordinary. I love your artistic brain and how you make it come to life, God had truly gifted you in great measure. Hugs.,

    1. you are too kind with your words but I thank you. I do like bookworms (I guess it's one word instead of two) & I'm very much a bookworm and what better way to travel than by books and your own imagination? but then again, there's also movies but it's not quite the same you know.

thanks for visiting. have a lovely day.

  4. Fabulous work, Liisa! You are so very creative and talented. The statue of Liberty is the perfect backdrop to your pretty girl's book-vacation. I love how her braids are travelling along too. :-D

    1. oh, yes, I love her braids as well, for some reason I like braids on girls but somehow I've never really wore my hair in braids even when it was longer enough.

thank you for stopping by, have a lovely day.

  6. Yes, few things are more lazy in summer than vicariously traveling without ever having to leave home or even change out of one's pj's. I love that. VERY very clever interpretation of the theme, Lissa. Marvelous. I love how here hair is floating up in braids as if either alighting the statue or about to waft off again to another locale. Lovely! this truly brings joy.

    1. I like it too. I kind of want the hair to have a life of their own plus it's always fun to draw braids.

thanks for your kind words. have a lovely day.

I think you have a great imagination! Travelling is certain an activity of summer and this is an amazing snapshot of looking at where to travel.

    1. thanks. traveling is great if you don't might the waiting in airports and packing your things and making reservations and all that stuff. I guess it's a good thing there are books.

thanks for stopping by, have a lovely day.
