Sunday Sketch

'into the woods' line drawing
at left is the first version & at right is the final version

I do not really makes sketches unless I don't know how to draw something. For this piece, I redrew the girl because I didn't like how she looked but now that I look at it, I seem to have aged her a bit. These are not actually blue, I make them that way so you can see it easier.

  5. Wow, I can't imagine doing something w/o doing a sketch! how on earth do you just draw stuff without lines? Just do shapes in Illustrator or what? Anyway, this looks great, Lissa for Sunday Sketches and coudl it be the beginning of Fairy Land Trees too? :)

    1. as I said to Christine, this is for CT theme and you will see the color version on Tuesday.

I do sometimes draw out shapes and how things looked on sketchbook pages but I always do the final without a sketch but with already an idea what it will be. it's not as good as I make it sounds. I really do a lot of erasing as I work in pencils and color in the computer.

thanks for your visit, have a lovely day.

    1. is it the trees? I find trees to have their own personality and so I don't seem to draw them with leaves because they really do not need them.

thanks for stopping by, have a lovely day.

    1. I think I spent more time on the animal than the girl, I usually do the opposite. I was going to do a set of twin cats but decided they should be all different. I really the like animal with wings and the unicorn horn the most.

thanks for stopping by, have a lovely day.

    1. it is good to walk in a forest or at least be among trees once in a while. these days there is only the park but it's almost the same thing.
